Many of the PNECC riders were away at Calshot for a Track Day, leaving the usual suspects from local clubs attending the weekly session. The coaching surface was wet, slippery and loaded with leaf-litter - an ideal opportunity to get back to basics (cornering) and coach on a more technical circuit than usual. The corners were reduced in width and the group took time to discuss corner lines before riding. Single line, pairs and three across to make it that little bit more restricted was the order of the day. Then some further group & team work, before an interesting handicap race to close the 2 hour session. The group also discussed Winterising your ride: Tyres (more tread and reduced pressures); clothing - full finger gloves, layers, buffs and jackets; lights and mudguards.
